How many 100s came without sunroofs?

I just took an 02 LX for a test drive, and my head was brushing against the ceiling around the sunroof.

The only 100-Series I've seen without a sunroof is a buddy's '98 (OEM cloth too!).

How tall are you? I am 6' 2 and I always wear a ball cap and my head doesn't touch at all. If the seat is electric, you can lower it.

I'm 6'3", but I have a stocky build with relatively short legs and long torso. I had the seat as low as it would go and my hair was against the ceiling, although my scalp was not touching.

This is not unusual, sunroofs are a problem for me in all but the largest vehicles. People hate sitting behind me in theaters (I have a size 8 noggin too).

Not looking for an LX necessarily...all else being equal I'd prefer a LC, that wood interior just made me laugh.

I would prefer cloth too. The only thing I like about leather is that dog hair doesn't stick to it.

My brother had a 1999 LX470 with no sunroof...completely decked-out, otherwise...leather, running boards, roof rack, rear deflector etc.

Mines a 98, no sun roof, cloth seats, heated cloth seats at that. It was originally purchased in Texas and came with the Gulf coast pack or what ever they call it. It's the one spresso mentioned.

With no sunroof you get a cool console with places for sunglasses, cd's etc.

Otherwise I may have to look at an FJ. Not that there is anything wrong with that. (but I do think the used FJs are overpriced)

Crazy. I always thought Cruisers were great for their headroom, but then I'm only a petite 6'1". And maybe I'm comparing to all my friends' 4Runners.

I'd say test drive another one cause I swear I have huge clearance above my noggin. Otherwise, FJs are cool rigs. Good luck.
