How Do You Remove Engine Compartment Blue Wire Ties ? (1 Viewer)

I have searched here high and low. Cannot find one mention of them. So how to you remove those little blue wire ties in the engine compartment? You know, the ones that poke through the inner fender.

They're single use like a zip tie. Cut them off with wire cutters and replace with new.

It can be done, but they often break. If you squeeze and push up from below, the strap releases and you can wiggle them out. But like @OSS says, better to cut 'em off and buy new. Still available from Toyota, and not that expensive.
