I haven't seen any reference to a cargo carrier that would fit on the roof bars. Is it just too knew and such an accessory is sure to follow or would one strap cargo down inside the bars on the roof?
If I get the truck, which I think I will, my dog has dibs on the back.
What exactly are you asking? As far as the supplied info goes the roof rack is rated by toyota for 154lbs
Refrence Toyota part number 51373A
To be perfectly honest that is 1 of my annoyances with the FJC. For some reason one of the crossrails on my roomie's FJC vibrated and is adible at speeds between 40 and 50mph. Honestly the issue wasn't explored, and the cure could be as simple as snugging down a knob. I'll report back later with what we find. The owner is a new member here and his handle is 07TEQ
The roof rack looks to be held on with some hex nuts that attach into a thin channel on the roof. The width of the rack fits into a groove (about 4" wide) and there is a thin channel that the fasteners seem to go into. My sister wouldn't let me take it apart of I would have known for sure.
I think you can just tweak those hex bolts and be good to go if it is loose.
I am getting mine without the rack...just don't need it.
Mine makes a noise as well. Tightening the nuts doesn't seem to help much as the crossmembers still rattle. I think I am going to have to add a socket shim to quieten them down.
