I'm changing my oil for the first time since I got my '99 Cruiser.

I've drained the oil from the pan and have replaced the drain plug.

Now, I should have done this before I ever started, but I then looked for the oil filter and it looks unreachable.

I see two ways to reach it. Please tell me there is another.

It looks like I can either A: take off the skid plate and access the filter or B: reach through the driver side wheelwell and reach above the frame and through a rubber flap and contort my arm around grasping blindly for what could be a very hot oil filter.

Underneath the oil filter is a removable access point for the filter. Just unbolt and remove this cover and the filter is right there. Real easy. Hope this helps.

Don't know if you got it yet or not but this is a pic of the general area you should be looking. 2 bolts (12 or 14mm I believe) and you've got easy access. Sorry for my pic but it's the one I could get my hands on quickest to edit.

I don't H8mud. :D
