How do i custom tint Monstaliner?

How do i custom tint Monstaliner? I have read the directions on line. it sounds like it is as simple as buying the "tintable kit" from Monstaline. Then taking it to a paint shop, picking out the color i want and have them add the "color" to my Monstaliner. Then they shake it to mix it, i think. I have a auto body paint store right down the road from me. Is this type of thing common and do most place know how to do it?

Have any of you guys used the tintable Monstaliner? I want to paint my roof white but the Monstaliner whit is just TOO white. I want to use a much more off white.

You have to buy just the color tint from the paint store, no binders, etc. You can mix it with the tintable base when you get ready to paint, easy!

Yeah basically you are just purchasing the Pigment from the paint shop. You want nothing other than the pigment in there as it will mess with the ML. There are instructions on either the large ML thread here or on the website.

This all turned into a real pain in the ass with a major fail from a local paint shop. On round 2 i used all Monstaline products. I mixed ABOUT 6.7oz white with 1.3oz kille beej and got a really nice softer off white for my roof. Went on just like it is supposed to.
