Too far north. Too far east.
OK, let us try this again. As the title says. How did you find us? I know some have been round before MUD existed and there really wasn't much of an Internet presence.

 what about just an internet search and our web page?

I found HDC through the TLCA web site and made phone contact with David O'Neill

I wish I could remember. Was there a notice in the paper? Maybe something on the old TLCA list server? Perhaps a flyer under the windshield wiper?

In any case, Jennie and I were at the very first meeting that Nathan arranged. It was in some UNM building near the stadium.

We arrived in a Volvo as our 60 was in Colorado Springs for an engine transplant.

There was a pretty good turn out, but the only guy I remember was that American Airlines 777 captain who made every meeting but not one run. He stands out in my mind because he opened the door for a late arrival at that first meeting with the statement: "Welcome to the gay men's 4x4 and tea party meeting" or something like that. What a hoot.

Who else was there?

Who else was there?

juane

I wasn't there for the first one but prolly the second or third (Golden Corral on Montgomery). I don't think we even had complete chapter status at the time. I remember George and his antics well. That was when I met Shawn and O'Niell for the first time. Juane, I'm pretty sure you weren't there for that one because I think we met first on the famous (infamous?) snow run where we wheeled all day then showed up behind a locked gate at the trail's end. That was winter 1999 I'm pretty sure.

I found HDC by emailing someone at TLCA and they told me about the fledgeling chapter.

I always thought the first meeting was way out on south 14 at a picnic ground. That was the first one I went to anyway. I can't remember anyone else who was there except Nathan.

I wasn't at the first one Juane mentioned, but the second meeting I attended was the one that we chose the club name. I think my suggestion was the Red Hot Chile Cruisers. that meeting was in the Albertson's parking lot at Tramway and Central.
these are great old stories of our beginnings.:D

I blame 'Mud, Onur and Marc for my developing problems... Ali gets honorable mention for his brainwashing.:lol:

Shawn was assembling the wiring loom for Bionic when I first met him. Somehow I found my way to a meeting at Evan's, then I got sidetracked for a while.

Mud brought me back... ;)
