Need to replace my inner and outer tie rods on my 01 LC and was wondering how the moog components are? No major offroading my LC is mostly a DD. I can get all the components on amazon for cheaper than 1 OEM inner tie rod which go for around $180 new.

Any suggestions?

The Moog parts I ordered on Amazon came stamped made in Japan and the tags attached had Toyota part numbers.

I've had good luck with Moog steering parts too, but they are 1 ton TREs not parts for Toyota.

That's what I've read also. Just wondering if I should go with moog since my LC won't be offroad anytime soon.

So they're more than enough for a LC or not enough?

Haven't been able to find moog stuff to fit my hdj81 here in canada but moog makes the best aftermarket mini truck steering components I've used hands down. They are also my top pick for domestic bits. In a perfect world I'd use Toyota everything, the reality is sometimes it doesnt make financial sense. Id run em.

AVOID 555 brand! They wear out in few weeks.
For safety, stay with OEM.

Any good used toyota part will still outlast an aftermarket part.

I do not know anything about these parts that OP interested to buy, but for me, if a non OEM part say made in Japan, I would be comfortable using it instead of OEM. I know this probably not making much sense, but that is just me.

I have used Moog bushings on my Avalon with no complain so far.

New OEM inner tie rods are nearly $200/ea. Whole new OEM steering rack (inner tie rods included) $500.

I hear mostly good reviews of the Sankei 555 components. If going with Sankei, I'd buy from a reputable company. There are lots of counterfeit parts out there. "Made in Japan" doesn't always mean it was made in Japan. ;)

It probably should be mentioned by those who say the moog product fails quickly if or how often those users wheel or use the truck as DD.

They might hold up fine to regular street use but not to regular off-road use.

Just because they are made in Japan doesn't mean they meet the same OES spec of the original part, or even compare to the OEM spec of the Toyota replacement.

This is the reason it doesn't make sense to buy OEM inner tie rods only. The whole rack is only a few dollars more!
