I want to do a preventive mainetance on some hoses under the manifold. What hoses are these.
Can you remove and replace hoses without removing the intake

Vacuum lines mostly and it is possible to replace but a pain without removing the intake. If you have big hands then don’t bother, just remove it. There are a couple fuel vapor lines held on with the spring clamps.

I got them with a variety of regular and long reach needle nose pliers. A 45-degree long reach is probably the most useful. Plus a flashlight, a mirror, and a ton of patience. Oh, and some silicone grease dabbed on the hose end makes it way easier to get the new rubber on.

Takes 30 min to pull intake, just pull throttle body set to side, get intake off do um on bench , if your obd1 you can just get rid all that plus the egr and pair system

I am in the middle of this right now. I have gotten at most of them. I think once you have that first vcv off in the middle it will open up quite a bit of space. I wasn't able to pinch the clamp for the short larger hose but I was able to just Pull it off with the clamp on. Take pictures and stuff. When you remove one, you need to clean the metal lines with air intake cleaner and some wire. Some of the intake bolts are buried as well so that doesn't seem like a fun job to me.

No. I am trying to leave the intake intact.

How is it going on the vacuum system? It is PITA for me. I have almost been able to get the bracket/clip for the VCV off. That would clear up a bit more space under there. I removed two 12mm bolts that hold the brackets up onto the intake. But it is still not loose. It feels like there is a phillips head in the top of the vcv bracket that may be holding it on. I need to get at the VSV and test it for carbon/damage. Good luck.
