Horn with new relay (1 Viewer)

Hi

The car I bought never had a horn, so got a 2nd hand horn with +ve and -ve terminals. Wired a new relay
Horn switch (Green/White wire) - 85
Ground - 86
Batt 12v (Green/Red wire) - 30
Horn 12v - 87

Im getting power to 30 and 85 on the relay
Theres continuity from 86 to the -ve side of the battery and from the horn switch right to the end of the wire that goes to the relay.
But im not getting power when horn button is pressed on 87 on the relay

Ive checked the horn button and wires

Any ideas on what I may have missed?

its a '77 fj40 btw

Check the point and air gaps in the horn itself. Air gap should be 0.4 mm and the point gap should be 0.8 mm. Just a suggestion.

My horn relay is activated by closing ground, not +. That is, if memory serves. Try hooking up the horn wire to ground.
