I Just bought couple of hood support shocks from auto Zone which pep boys and O'reilly auto parts carry the same useless ones today I open the hood to check the oil level and the damn things slipped out of the ball and the hood fell on my head .the (cavity) are made of plastic and have a clip on them which can not hold the ball very secure in them also ball link does not have the angle where attached to the hood which in full extension causes the ball to pop out .I am looking at LIFT SUPPORT DEPOT site the y have three different stock # and prices does any body use these hood support and are they any good ? or should I buy them and expect another bump on my head((.

Thanks guys for your suggestions . I just order the ones Scat Adams installed on his GX from "Lift support depot " they should work .
