Need to replace my hood struts and I believe the appropriate P/N is the following x2...can anyone confirm? 2013 TLC.

If you've used these, the parts site also lists a separate "Support Cylinder Ball Stud" that LOOKS to be included w/ the P/N above...

Do I need to order that as well, or is it in fact included?

TIA!

That part number looks correct for a 2013 LC. It appears each comes as an assembly with two of the ball studs each, so you shouldn’t need to order them as well.

For the record my parts system lists the strut as a “support assembly, hood” and in general when they say assembly it will include parts needed to install like the ball studs. But not always. Good that you asked.

@bloc thanks. I'll update this once I get parts in hand to close the loop for anyone in future w/ same question.

My research shows different part numbers for Left and Right assemblies - both look like they include the "ball studs"

Yes, good catch

I was trying to remove my old struts and couldn't disconnect them from the ball screws that are connected to the body/hood.
No spring ring latch founded on the current struts.
Should I screw out the screw joints as well?

Yes. And with the force on the strut be careful not to cross-thread as the new one goes in. This means the final thread or two of the old one coming out should also be handled with care.. if you support the hood at just the right height it’ll be easy.

Closing the loop on this - these were the correct P/N's, and included the ball studs. Removing the old ones required 12mm, same for installing new ones. I couldn't get the old struts off the old ball studs, so I just removed each side as one assembly. Then installed the ball studs first, using 12mm. New strut just pressed onto the new ball studs. ARB twin compressor made access tight but whole thing took ~10 min.
