I'm thinking about doing a hood scoop for an intercooler I'm installing with my diesel conversion and need your help with some ideas and a visual of what it might look like for real. If any of you have installed a hood scoop on your 60 post up a picture. Thanks for the help.

That's a sweet 60. I like the hood scoop too. Thanks Guys. Keep E'm coming

what kind of hood scoop is that, what is it off of?

yeah but what is it from?

I'm pretty sure an top mounted intercooler ( as my setup ) it's pretty useless at low speeds .. but over 50 - 60 mhp things coming diferent ( that it's exactly when I need it ) so the aire flow come from at those speeds it pretty nice.

Other option to make your intercooler more functional at low speed are the electric fans that come factory in RD2.8 RZ 30 nissan engines or 4M40 Mitsu engines .. that ekeep top mounted intercoolers with electric fans.

Sweet Pic. Tapage. Thanks

MORE.. MORE...

My Quattro's intercooler is next to the radiator. I guess there's not enough room in front of the 60's radiator to put one up there.

What about a liquid-to-air intercooler?

This is what I did when I installed my top mounted intercooler.

Your right Tinker, It gets a little crouded in front with a/c. I already bought mine but whats' the advantage of a liquid to air intercooler?

Liquid / air intercooler are more eficient at low speed coz you can keep a constant temp range to drop down the aire temp that pass throught the water/intercooler.
