Hood prop rod needed........

I opened the hood for the first time since winter set in and my weak azz struts no longer hold it up. It's kinda hard to work with one hand holding up the hood.

If anyone has an extra prop rod from one of your relics I could use it. Moneys tight so the preferred price is free but I can scare up a buck or two if needed.

Use one from a 60/62. The whole setup is ~20 bucks at the dealer.

For a couple dollars more you can buy new hood struts on EBay

That's great Mike. Do you have the grommet and stow bracket, or do I need to chase them down elsewhere?

Grommet is kinda hard and chunky. The little plastic hold down clip is only half there. I'll see if I can find a better one and bring it if I do.

It works, thanks Mike. For anyone needing this mod, Space Age in Mesa has the bracket and o ring for $3.
