I tend to cruise a little quicker than most on the GA Highways. I get some hood flutter at high speeds. Is there a adjustment to tighten the front of the hood up? I am almost tempted to put some clear shipping tape on the gap to reduce the amount of air that can get in there.

I haven't looked at the 100, but on the FJC there are these little rubber bumper along the front under the hood (mounted to the body). They are screwed in and you can unscrew them to raise them to cause more pressure on the hood to eliminate a shaking hood. Not sure if the 100 has these but worth a look.

There is some sort of rubber bumper on them. I'm not sure if that will reduce hood flutter or push the hood up if I adjust them.

It is the rubber bump. mine is missing and my hood has fluttered for years. I replaced it once, and it fixed it, but then it fell off again.

Is the rubber gasket across the front still there? I've been 100+ on the highway numerous times and haven't experienced any hood shake. You could tape it and see what happens . Tires or front alignment maybe??

Rubber bumpers at both leading corners of the hood. Counterclockwise adds height, clockwise reduces height.

Gasket is still there. The problem isn't there at 80mph. Unfortunately ( but fortunately) I grew up in cars that have 500-1100HP. So my cruise control is always set around 100. I'm not sure I can stop hood flutter at those speeds but I can at least try.

Seriously? Can you see your fuel gauge moving? My 100 doesn't see North of 65.

Can't see it move. I only travel at those speeds when safe and traffic permits. Wind, any traffic, and road conditions. We have a very wide and well kept interstate system here. I don't "force" pass ( tailgating), and lights are always on. Last weekend I did 50 miles and my average speed was 98. MPG's hovered right around 9MPG. I know many doubt the 100 at triple digits but it's very stable for the height and setup I have.

You have to realize that doing 75-80 is going with the flow of traffic around Atlanta......:D

I've been running 90+ with people on my bumper on I85

if fluttering...extend them away from mount position a little at a time. you want enough so that it has no room to wiggle the hood with their support...but not enough to put stress against it. You are just snugging them up with opposite surface....like balancing a washer or dryer from vibrating. Even pressure against hood on both sides....
