Greetings all,

Ive been searching around the forum but havent had much luck. I recently put the 3fe exhaust manifold on my 2F and was thinking I'd like to add some carb heat protection. I do not have the stock heat shield any longer and I started thinking about making my own to fit. I'll be running and getting a sheet of aluminum and maybe some glass insulation here shortly. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

how about getting a carb insulator with it already attached and installing it?
could you install the oem units back on the 3fe manifolds?

It’s a 2f intake and a 3fe exhaust manifold. I could find a 2f carb insulator but at the current price and the unique build of my 2f (read not OEM) I was thinking I could make something original. Just curious if there was any details to building one I should consider.
