Homemade front bumper

Here is my new front bumper. I took some ideas from 2mbb and I think it turned out pretty good. Sorry I dont have any before and during pictures. Its made from 1/4in wall 2x6 for the main section and 1x3 for the mounts. I also have 2 13,000lbs shackles. I designed it so that I can add a winch mount when I have money to buy one. I think I am also going to make some sort of tube grille guard but I dont have access to a bender so I havent yet. I will get some better shots tomorrow, I just noticed that I only have one good picture but it doesnt show the angle in the "wings" of the bumper. It also looks a little long in the pictures, but the bumper ends a little past the seam for the fender and front valance.

Well, what do you think?

congrates on a nice simple clean lookin bumper!

I like it very much. Lets see a side angle too.

The stock bumpers are like butter and offer no protection in a front end crash. You probably just made it safer by 100%..

Cheers, BB

Very nice work. Let's see more.

A couple more, sorry my cruiser is missing a couple front end parts.

Looks great, nice finish work on that.

That looks great! I like the design......

What did you use to weld it up...stick or mig?.......

Did you use three pieces of 1/4 rectangular tube or one long piece?

I used a mig. Its one long piece of metal. I cut notches in the back and heated it with a torch to bend it.

lookin good, im just finishing up mine, very similar tp that, ill post pics when i throw it on
