BJ42Gringo and I are making a trip to Hollister this Saturday. Any and all are welcome, we'll be heading down slowly from the Peninsula, would be cool to meet some cruiserheads.

We're in stock 40's so we're hitting the light stuff - an opportunity for other wimps to play a little bit, or for hardcorers to make us look silly, either way should be fun!

Sounds like were going to meet up in the south bay at 10am and head out from there, so probably 11-1130 at the park?

You should get crackin on that oil pan so i can see your setup - I'm buying myself an elocker for xmas (its going in the rear)

I'll be there with a bunch of Scouts. If you see us, come say hi.

I understand proper etiquette demands I post pics now... :D

Here is BJ42Gringo on 29's with open diffs conquering the rocks:

And here is me taking a quick dip in the mud (puddle):

Bummer we didn't get out there. It's pretty fun to go out there once in a while. I wanted to try the steep climb on the west side, white rocks or something like that, now that I've got lockers.

I got a bunch of body work done, at least.

Thanks for the pics. Nice rigs. Did you see the scouts?

We saw em, but didn't dig in to say hello. They had an interesting group, lotta built scouts plus one or two resto'd looking things, plus a BJ70-something and a couple other cruisers.

We stuck to blue trails mostly and did pretty well even without lift or lockers. Only once were we unable to proceed, way up "West Trail" there is a good sized hole in the track with lots of gouges in the rocks nearby. In retrospect I should have filled the hole with my spare tire and not let it beat us, but instead we tucked tail and reversed out of there :whoops:

That was a massive hole - a spare tire would have been like pissing into the ocean. I think I saw a VW Bug in the bottom of that hole. :flipoff2:

Good times screwing around with the cruisers either way. Top it off with a frosty brew at the end and I chalk it up as a victory.

I saw you guys drive by but wasn't able to get your attention. Glad to hear you guys had fun. We ended up playing around in the jungle for a while where one of our guys broke a hub. Good day all in all.
