I am converting my 1977 FJ40 Land Cruiser w/ 2F and H55F to a 12HT diesel. With the correct engine mounts and bellhousing, the drive-train assembly is bolt-in to the FJ40 chassis.

I am looking for HJ45/47 front engine mounts.

And an HJ45 bellhousing and clutch fork (2-piece cast iron w/ frame mounts).

Or an HJ47 bellhousing and clutch fork (aluminum housing, no frame mounts, no "HJ" branding).

Also interested in other swap parts - 12HT Engine, 12 volt starter, 12 volt alternator, A/C components and brackets. Let me know what you got. Thanks for looking!

Note: The HJ6X and HJ7X series of engine mounts and bellhousings are more common. I DO NOT need 60/70 series engine mounts or bellhousing.

The engine mounts will not work in a 40 series frame.

And the 70 series bellhousing clocks the trans/t-case slightly, which won't work for me. You can ID clocked bellhousings by the "HJ" branding on the back.

I am looking for the same, contacted a couple guys in aus. They seem to want an arm and leg for stuff down there right now 🤷‍♂️

I have a HJ47 aluminum bellhousing and clutch fork......It's from a 1983/84 HJ47 and has the provision for the tachometer pick up.

Will you be using a crossmember under the H55F ?

Yessir, I’m using a crossmember for the H55F.

PM sent.

Note this HJ47 2H (rhs) engine mount bracket has two gussets as opposed to the earlier 'H' diesel that has one gusset. (first pic in this thread)

For you guys doing diesel conversions... This is not my pic but one I found doing a quick search on the net, not the best pic but it does show the correct orientation of the gearbox crossmember mount brackets for a HJ47.

Great intel.

I sort of assumed that the "mounting ears" and rubber isolators were identical between the HJ45 series bellhousing and the 2F FJ40 bellhousing. Can anyone confirm that these are the same?
