Does the gym has a video camera monitoring the parking area? See if you can get a copy of the footage before it automatically get erased. Sorry to hear that.

No way around it now, with Police report there will be a Carfax record of an incident. Minor as it may be it affects the resale value. If you catch the bastard, and they are charged, you may want to work their insurance company (if they have insurance) for some amount of diminished value. If I recall you have a unicorn- low mileage clean truck.

Too bad you couldn't have settled that outside of getting the cops involved. If it were me I'd touch it up with touch up paint and pocket the insurance $.....buy a new bumper or roof rack etc

BEe Caves police won't do anything even with a witness They wouldn't even take a report they handed me a CR 2 Report form for me to fill it out with all the information I asked would that cause them to get involved and do anything they said no. So I just turned it over to my insurance and will use my $250 deductible to get it put back to original. I asked the cop for my own future reference says they don't get involved in accidents on private property that if you ever hit a car in a parking lot it is really better for you just to drive off his response was yes. Things of changed drastically since I was a police officer back in the early 80s.
Similar thing happened to me with a previous car, someone left the plate number but the police weren't going to follow up on it. Best wishes getting it all sorted out.

Typically others parties insurance will cover, unless other diver contest. Only reason they can, is if you'd been in your vehicle, insurance could claim shared responsibility.

Took the beast in today to be fixed. Can't have dents and scuffs on my mall cruiser. The OME lift and rock sliders are for looks only 
Lucky it wasn't NYC. Happened to me and I had the license plate and the cop says "are you hurt" I say "no I was standing outside the car when I watched it happen" he goes "your out luck he's out of state nothing we can do" I look at the guy and just shake my head and say "that's the dumbest fxxxing thing I've ever heard" he shrugs and gets back in the car and drives away.
I see that douches car who hit me every now and again and perhaps some day I'll have a momen Of weakness and smash the s*** out of it.

Just got word that liberty mutual my insurance company just raise my insurance rate $35 a month

First insurance claim with them in the past 30 years and they race at $35 a month Plus I wasn't even in the car and somebody hit me in the parking lot and drove off
