Whenever I turn on my high beams on my '73 FJ40, I'll be driving along and suddenly the driver side light will start to cut on and off. I have checked the wiring and nothing is wrong in any way. Any ideas?

My first thought, a bad connection in the drivers side headlamp socket. High beam wire (either Red/Yellow or Red/Green or ground White/Black
Second, a bad connection in the harness connector just behind the headlamps.
Third, a bad ground wire for the drivers side lamp. Note the ground is provided by a wire in the harness that actually grounds at the regulator, not through the headlamp shell.
The headlamps are wired in parallel so whatever is affecting just the drivers side is after the parallel connection. I would inspect the entire length of the wire harness on the drivers side for cuts.

Turn on the lights and start wiggling the connectors...

According to a 73 schematic, the dimmer switches single wires that split to go to each light.

This split (parallel connection) occurs after the dimmer. If it were the dimmer, both lights would be affected.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't found the problem yet on account of school and money, but at least now I have a decent idea of where to start.
