Hi there, just seen this on ebay.

1
NACHRÜST HID SATZ KIT SET BI-XENON H4-3 24V HI LOW NEU - eBay (item 260325030175 end time Jan-30-09 00:01:55 PST)

Does it work well?

And does the HID bulb fits into the H4 socket without a huge DIY?

Just have to "throw away" my additionai Long-Distance Halogen-Lights because with the winch installed there´s no space left in the front of my BJ40 for the big boys (9")

I´ve talked to some guys in a German Forum but in Germany you´ll be in trouble with this lights installed (Technical Inspection and Laws)

that looks like the hella ballast I have on my rig. im not sure about these particular ones but they look like good stuff. If they say H4 then I am assuming they fit mine do. I have a set of ipf headlights and my bulbs plug right in .

Thanks,

I´ll order them because the output of the normal lights is not that powerful.

I would love to see the outcome of this, please post some pics of the final product. Let us know if this was a good idea or not.

I think that in the USA HID's are outlawed on the federal level unless they are self leveling. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I went and looked this up. It is only in Europe that it is required as far as what wikipedia has to say on the matter.

Note that this particular ebay item seems to be a 24V, not 12V system.

You can increase your stock lighting output a lot by adding relays; Painless Wiring and Susquehanna MotorSports both have systems that are pretty easy to install.
