I am having trouble seeing the road at night. I thought I was getting old but my wife confirmed that my lights stink.

So here is the question, HID up grade (Bulbs and transformers) or HELLA H1 upgrade halogen bub kit?

Or is the nose of the ACH dropping so much my lights are to low?

Thoughts?

I had two problems. Crap lights and crap aiming. I went with PIAA driving lights (per a recommendation here) and while much better on high beam the low beams were crap (crap is a lighting term used by physicists). I had the inspection place aim my headlights and after that I didn't have any lighting problems and high beams are extremely good.

Can't see your sig but if you have an LX (low beam projectors) I'm extremely happy with the 4300k 35w Xenon Depot HIDs I went with 4+ years ago. Far superior to the various premium, short lived, halogens I tried. And regardless of if you go HID or performance halogen you want them properly aligned - adjust aiming on a wall to get the top cutoff line 2 inches below your low beam horizontal center line at 25ft. This cut off line should be very close to 34in high for a stock height LC/LX.

X2 what Paddo said if you have a LX. I installed a 55w HID kit and could not be happier.

Well, perhaps I have another problem.

At speed say over 45 mph the nose of the car drops about 1". When you stop, or go slow it comes back up.

It has done this since I got it. Is this normal?

i just ordered the 6000 hid kit for my LC it should arrive today... think it was only $30 delivered off ebay put the same kit on a friends truck and he loved his... I'll let you know how it works out... I was doing it mostly because my lights look yellow compared to most newer trucks on the road:) and its a cheap easy project

No, just the front lowering above 45 isn't normal as such. Self leveling corrections are normal though. The system will always turn on and raise or lower to get back to N depending on speed and not being fitted with a height override switch.

Ok I measured the height. From ground to the headlight lens is 30 inches. Why should it be 34 inches on the wall?

OK, so 2 weeks after the Hella install I had a bulb burn out. I was super careful, wore latex surgical gloves and all so that sucks. With a cheepo NAPA bulb in the left and Hella in the right I can only see a very small difference in the light quality. I give them a thumbs down, wasted money.

I am going to pop for the HID kit. Any follow-up thoughts on what kit is a good product?
