So my left headlight went out on m 06 lx 470 and I thought it was a simple bulb replacement. Never worked with HID bulbs before and this is the first time I have to replace them. Maybe I'm missing something pretty obvious or easy but I can't figure out how to go about doing this. Do I have take the whole thing apart to replace the bulb? How do I find the correct size? Not much to go off by in terms of branding to figure out the size or any how to's. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Looks like you have a fairly generic aftermarket drop in HID bulb+ballast kit running in your stock LX projectors?

If you have no idea what the set up is, you might want to consider replacing the entire set in the interest of reliability, performance and longevity.

Quality HID components are so incredibly well priced nowadays compared to even 5 years ago.

Here is a prime example - One Kit To Rule H1 (Philips) XTR HID Kit I Xenon Depot - https://www.xenondepot.com/h1-philips-capsule-xtr-hid-bulbs?quantity=1
XenonDepot has been in the HID game forever, and their kits contain quality components.

If you want to simply replace the bulb, you'd probably still want to replace the pair to maintain uniformity. - Xtreme HID Headlight Bulbs | XTR Philips Capsules | H11 Philips Bulbs | Xenon Depot - https://www.xenondepot.com/xtr-hid/hid-bulbs

A quick chat with reps from any of these three highly reputable companies should get you sorted and on your way:
