A couple of the Seattle Cruiserheads did a snowrun yesterday near Skykomish (Jacks Pass, FS 65 and 6520).

We got stuck a lot, dug a lot, winched alot, dug a lot, dug more, then dug again. Hi-Lift saw action, blew two beads, lots of other adventures. All in all an awesome time. As a result of the adventures, was inspired to make two mods today. The Hi-Lift Jack base is pretty usefull in snow, but on an icy surface it slips. Also the OEM jack will fit into the Hi-Lift Jack base if you grind the base of the jack a bit to make it fit.

Good idea! Sorry I missed out on the run. I'm hoping I can make another one soon. Just need to get my transfer case to stop leaking first!

How are those bolts in the base working out for you? I just got my hi-lift for christmas and am finding that it is practically useless in the snow...

well after today im convinced to buy an offroad base and do those mods. got stuck on a trail for about 4 hours between about 60+ stops to shovel, winch and jack between 2 cars. thanks for showing the mod. my hi-lift slipped a few times when i was pushing it onto hardpack snow ruts

Don't know, I installed them after the wheeling trip. Will give them a test on the next trip.
