Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself,I'm not a member yet,but hope to be once I get my FJ up and running,I'm close, but everytime I get one thing done, seems like I find something else that needs taking care of,I have a 74 FJ40, converted the front end to disc brake,(installed an axle from a 79) just got my new brake line made, Hope to order a new wiring harness today, flush my brake lines and get them operational,I am mechanically challenged, Didn't even take shop when I was in school, but always wanted a LC,so I got one and am in the process of making her (Norma Jean) purty and something I can take Up wheelin!

Welcome!! I think we have a good crew here that can lend plenty of knowledge and even a hand on helping you get up and running. We have just entered our busiest part of the season with the McGrew run coming up but afterwards we should have some time and get togethers that you might want to attend.

Welcome!! Yes, we HAVE a good bunch of talented folks in the club. Like G said this next month is crazy with getting ready for the McGrew Trailride (which we host and put on).

Look forward to meeting you.

What I did today

Yesterday I paid a visit to a gentleman in G.P. that has boatloads of FJ parts and bought a Spare wheel, gas tank lock,Pass. side door handle, upper wiper motor (didn't know if it worked or not) fresh air vent cable, and he threw in a bottom half of a transfer case shift boot, today I pulled out the wiper motor to see if it worked, Nope, upon closer inspection, 4 points of the copper wrap had broken off where they were soldered, soldered them up,cleaned the housing, greased at critical points, she fired right up,upper wiper motors are hard to come by,but I wouldn't have been out too much if I couldn't get it working, he only charged me 50.00 for all the stuff.
Now for an adult beverage,

Possibly John out New Hope Road? That's my guess.

You guys sound like illicit parts dealers!!:p Don't you have your medically necessary cruiser parts cards that permit you to possess at least a garage full of cruiser parts and share suppliers w/o fear of arrest??:meh:

And, BTW- Welcome to the "group". Official hazing can commence at the Mcgrew run!!:hillbilly:

Welcome! Mike.
Looking forward to meeting up with you and your 40. PM me if you run into any problems getting your ride ready for McGrew, I may be able to help.

Al
