Hi, I own a 1999 90 series with a 1kz and 160000 on the clock. It has been in the family for a couple years. I haven't got any pics on my PC, though its a bone stock Prado 95 in black, so nothing particularly unusual. Its been quite a while since it's last oil change, so i was wondering which grade I could use year round.
I live in southern UK, where it reaches 40 in the summer these days and about -5 max in the winter. Following this "oil and filter inspection" sheet by Toyota i found online i thought that 10w-30 would be my best choice. Only thing is that nobody near me sells 10w-30 in amounts larger than what's needed for small generators.
My next best bet is 15w-40, though it seems that lots of people on here will only use this grade in summer. I've heard good things about 5w-40 in these motors.
What would you guys recommend?
