Hi Guys!

I hope everything is going great for you Cruiser Heads. I know its been a while since I posted last. I arrived to Auckland safelly with family (My wife and "FJ25" :) ) about 2 months back and immidiatelly got busy in finding house and setteling down.

This country is beautifull with very interesting mix of people all accross the Auckland. New Zealand being a Land Rover country, it doesn't have vintage cruisers so I will enjoy some premium on that front. Although series 1 land rovers are very common here.

Somehow I have managed to secure one unobtainium part for FJ25 so far (Cruiser_Nerd will be proud of me) ;) . Sounds good to me specially when I am dealing in a non vintage cruiser country. I will post a pic in other thread.

Congrats to Phil for obtaining my other passion (Nissan Patrol G60). They are too vary rare here but common as peanuts in Australia.

I must admire Mike for his great job on restoration thread. I missed so much of info since I posted last in USA.

From now on I will be around once again.

Cheers!

Archie!

Good to see you here. :D I was starting to wonder if we lost you. ;) Post up some pictures of the new neighborhood when you can.

Hi Jim,

Belive it or not I was expecting only yours will be the first response to my thread. You are really on the top of this forum. :D

Well nice to get in touch with you once again. I will sure post some pics of this country.

Welcome back Archie! I'll send you another shopping list for when you go to the wreckers!

Just curious if they have same stud pattern as FJ25? Have you tried yet on FJ25?

Had not thought of that but will give it a try when I get home...there is other stuff that is close, too, was thinking of posting some pics and stumping the experts, but the cat is way out of the bag:D

I think what you'll find is that the Patrol rim has a lot of backspace almost like a IFS type wheel so it probably won't work on the 25..........but who knows. I saw a pic of some on a 45LV somewhere.....

glad to here you made it safely, when I was on the south island, Christchurch and Methven area, there were quite a few cruisers, troopies, flatbed pickups and such. I was there back in 1993 tho.

Hi,

I mean to say pre 1970 cruiser's are almost "immmmpossible" to find, otherwise cruisers after 1970 are available here in bulk and available in almost every form.

I am yet to travel on South Island, but on North Island where ever I have travelled, I am just amazed to see how beautifull this country is.

Cheers!

hi archie...

when ya gonna post some pics of the 25 on offroad express in nz? wanna see this original cruiser...:D

Hi Archie I saw your parts wanted post on exploroz and the situation is similar here in regard to pre 70 landcruisers.
I dont recall seeing anything pre 68 for sale except for one of the original Thiess landcruisers from the Snowy Mountain scheme.
I think you will be in the hands of the Americans;)

Come on guys, NZ can't be that bad for old Cruisers.......Archie will ferret them out. I remember this one on Ebay, came from over there:
