I have one on my rig. As someone on this weekends run can attest, it works great. I think they have their duty cycle calculation a set a little (or a lot) on the safe side.

It was not used on me but it worked great this past weekend!

Okay, there's a story in here somewhere. Who's gonna spill the beans?

Alvis @Cruddz with out airing down thought he could cross a sandy wash/river... ended up making it about 5 feet flooring it and barred himself to the top of his tires. So @Dimples winch came in to save the day.

Guess the Vegas rule didnt apply here.

How did this fit the puzzle

I seem to remember a lot of suggesting to go for it from someone... :hmm:

And yeah this was me when a tree decided to stab my sidewall. @Dimples I feel like we are missing Liz's picture of the situation

It was the original thread in the Winching and Recovery section why I bought a HF winch. I expected Woody was going to come out how say how worthless is was. He did just the opposite. I now have a second one to install in the bull bar for my 3rd gen. 4Runner. Not sure if I'm going to have to clock the ends to get it to fit but with all the threads lately on water crossing seriously considering doing this to it. HF Badlands 12 k DIY winch hack waterproof upgrade mod that going thru the control box and beef up the wiring.

She never sent it to me. She posted it up on her Facebook page ..... excuses ..... mumbling ......

I can think of a lot of things worse than being tow out on a water crossing. Particularly a modern vehicle full of electronics. Those get wet and your chasing gremlins for ever.

Here is Liz's pictures of the situation.

The offending stick. I think that is still in the tread.
