hey guys... another fj 40 wanted

ok guys,

looking for an fj40.... pre 1979..... in good running order. something that could be driven
daily.. doesnt have to be to terribly pretty (this doesnt mean rotting away completely)
somewhere in the south eastern united states or.... in ontario canada. Im looking for something in the $4000 to $6000 american range or $6000 to $7000 canadian. any info you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated as i have found the technical forums

Hey,

I have a 1978 FJ 40 that is pretty clean and may fit the bill. I have installed a healthy new crate SBC 350 w/Marks 4wd Conversion and lots of performance parts, I installed a fresh interior and worked over the body - applied a new paint job. It is definitely a runner and looks great inside and out. I applied a bedliner material to the entire tub after the body work and then applied soome aluminum rocker/quarter panel plating. I also purchased a new Downey PS kit with a saginaw box, but have not installed it yet, will go with the Cruiser along with spare set of aluminum wheels. I know you are looking for something in the $6000 range, but if you are interested shoot me an email and I will send you some pictures of my rig. I am asking $8500 OBO.
