$350 new

The Heritage Edition comes with the Yakima MegaWarrior, not the LoadWarrior. So, $449 plus the optional $69 Locking Bracket (plus two Toyota crossbars not normally on a Base model.)

(I still have the LoadWarrior with optional 18" extension from my Subaru Outback. The MegaWarrior is longer and wider.)

From the marketing literature confirming the above:

The base model comes with Toyota crossbars.

Please note that the yakima basket is noisy. I took it off as soon as I got home with the truck. Now it sits in storage as I am sure someone will be asking for it one day when will be selling the truck.

I’m sorry. That was an erroneous statement on my part. Neither of the two used base models I looked at prior to ordering my HE had any crossbars, so I wrongly assumed they didn’t come with any.

I removed my Yakima basket the first few days I owned it. Quite noisy compared to the Prinsu I had on my 4Runner. Moving both crossbars to the most rearward position reduced the wind noise even more.

Agreed. It sounds kind of like an old de Havilland Beaver's prop engine firing up whenever I get the cruiser above 40 mph. Not as loud, but similar tone. I'm thinking of just taking the deflector off and seeing if it helps, otherwise I'll be taking the whole thing off.

why would you want that, it's to high and goofy and way too much wind noise b/c of how it mounts up. Way better, slicker and actually weight distributing options out there.

But I love those old radial Beavers! However that rack did not last a day on my HE. It’s squirreled away for someday..

Tried it on my wife’s 4runner. Much worse without deflectot

check the classifieds (look under Wheel & Tire) A member here has his Heritage rack up for sale......

Well might just use a custom cargo basket for hitch .. I got my friend to build it out of tube chromolly so it’s light

I got mine for 50 bucks. Allows me to attach my shovel, hi-lift, Maxtrax, and throw a weatherproof cargo bag up there when I need it.
