A couple of days ago my break light started staying on for a while and then it would turn off. today it never tuned off and its driving me crazy, any suggestions. (1988 FJ 62)

At the top of your brake pedal is the brake switch. Check to see if the little plunger that goes inside of that switch is stuck or missing. It is copper and is easy to see. Without it they will stay on. Look under your floor mat.

If you are speaking of the light in the dash, check your brake fluid level, and the switch for the parking brake lever.

That too, The next question would be where's the fluid going?
