I currently have duratracs 285/75r16 on my rig....they have about 5k on them. My next set of tires will be 315's, so here is my issue.
I need to buy a spare as the tire that came with it, is factory sized and bald.....do I....
A). Buy a 315/75r16.....worse case scenario, I get a flat and have to run the larger size for a day until I can get another 285. (This way when I am ready for my next set of tires, I will only have to buy 3 more 315's). I carry air and fix a flat.
B). Buy another 285 and rotate it in immediately?
C). Get a 285 and don't rotate it in and likely never use it.....then when I get 315's I will have a new unused 285.....
I want to do "A"....."B" seems most logical, "C" seems like a waste of money.
In the 5k that I have had the tires they have been rotated 1x....they have 90+% tread.
