I’m looking to get some advice on pricing my 2005 GX470 with KDSS. It’s in pretty good condition with 185,000 miles. I was only offered 2500 on trade so I have decided to sell it myself. The car is well maintained but I did have to have the frame professionally repaired because of rust. It passed PA inspection after the repair at the same shop that failed it.
I’ve sold cars myself before so I’m familiar with the process. I’ve owned this for the last 17 years and have all the maintenance records. Tires, brakes, rotors were replaced last year. I flushed the KDSS fluid myself a few years ago. The thread on that is on this forum.
Thanks for any advice.

I mean anything over $2500 would be a win, but realistically you'd be looking at $7000 or more. Even repaired rust in that part of the country won't hurt the value too much. Sport/KDSS helps too. Ask for $9500 and see what happens. Good luck, and keep us updated!

Thanks for the response. I don't really know what its worth but its not 2500. The repaired frame is the variable. I want to price it fairly. Its never been off road, well maintained.

At that mileage, you'd be due for a second timing belt and water pump replacement. If it hasn't been done, that's another factor that could ding your asking price. Is it a nav or non-nav? Non nav is more appealing and would help the sale price. Do you have all service records either digitally or as a folder full of receipts? Doesn't matter how you have the records but also helpful in the sale. I'd figure you can easily ask for somewhere between $9k and $10k if those ducks are in a row.

Thanks for the response. I have all the records since I owned it. This was the top of the line sport version with the ML sound system and KDSS hydraulics. It does have the sat nav which is not very good. I did most of the work myself except for the frame repairs/welding and have a couple of posts about some of the more complex repairs on this forum. Timing belt and water pump were done around 150,000 miles. KDSS fluid flushed a few years ago. Its totally unmodified.
I don't want to price it too high where it will just sit for a few months but I'm not in a rush to sell either. I just don't know the market for these trucks.

Good news is its probably the right time of year to sell a nice 4wd vehicle!

Id check Facebook Marketplace and list it accordingly. If you see a bunch going for 9k, list it for 7k maybe.
Just make a nice ad with a lot of images.

I just sold my FJC on Marketplace after listing it on the forums for weeks...it sold in 2 hours, cash in hand.

EDIT: On the Columbus OH area Marketplace these seem to be in the 5-6k range.... In theory you could ask around that I imagine.
