ok. so i bought the relay and started fixing passenger front window. have not done the power locks yet.
i wired up the window per slc's thread with the same relays he used. turned car on and it wouldnt work....tried another door and it still worked. so i took the newly wired door panel off and saw that one of the blue wires that connects to a red on the relay had come undone so i reconnected it and still didnt work.....now none of the windows work!! checked fuse box and no bad fuses...

totally lost...please help

chad

Did you first put direct battery power to the lock motors to see if they worked?

Take a good picture of the switch and relays and post it up so we can see how it is wired. The power windows circuit is protected by a circuit breaker, not a fuse. I have never had to reset the windows circuit breaker, so I can't help you find it. When you do find it, if it is like the power door locks circuit breaker, you reset it with a paper clip in the hole.

got to be a circuit breaker issue......i even undid all the new wiring and did as original and still didnt work.....would circuit be in fsm??

I couldn't find the location shown in the FSM. Maybe I don't know where to look. There are two circuit breakers on the right side of the fuse panel. I'd start with them. Stick a paper clip in the hole.

fsm shows a relay on driver window motor.....i am assuming that is it???? what do you think??

No, that is not the circuit breaker, that is the drivers window relay. You are looking for a circuit breaker that will look something like the two circuit breakers on the right side of the fuse panel.

ok....will check it out sunday. going out of town for weekend.. thx for all the assistance

Wires? Relays? Motors? You 62 guys and your power windows. :)

You forgot the "Oh My!" part. And the power windows and door locks are awesome--60 series style with modern conveniences. What's not to love about that?

What's not to love? Wires, relays, motors...

yep...it was the circuit breaker thingy next to fuses....the bottom one

thx for all the help

That means you wired something up wrong when you did the relays. When you do it again, post up a pic of how you have the relays wired before you install the switch back in your landcruiser so we can take a quick look. I messed up on the power door locks my first attempt and wound up resetting the power door locks circuit breaker. It happens.
