I used the following link with great success!
Good luck!

OK...this is hurting my brain...
I read the threads sent ( thank you MWM1 ) but im not understanding..... are the 2 (trim and weather stripping) clipped together before install or are they seperatly installed ????
The weather stripping I purchased from City Racer came with the rounded point clips... they are aligned exactly like the slots in the door sheet metal.. The stainless trim however.. if aligned to fit the door best the slots in the stainless trim piece do not match the sheet metal slots.
What am I missing...?? I wish I had taken them off so I would have some idea how they were on in the first place

any one????

The CItyRacer weatherstrips do not re-use the stainless trim. If you want to do that, you need to use your old clips (which generally break), or buy new ones from Cruiser Head. I'll try to find more links and pictures. I actually worked with Cruiser Head to get the new clips made, and they worked well on my truck. I have to leave in a minute but when I get more time I'll edit this post to add links to various threads and the clips.

Link to clips here.

Another thread here.

Ln2cruisers,
Sorry for the delay, been traveling for work. I used the original clips. Placed the stripping along the stainless then used the original clips. One side of the clip has a tongue or raised part that clips into the slot on the stainless. Once you get the weatherstripping and stainless together, you align that to the window opening and press down onto the door. The other side of the clip has a ridge that will clip onto the door lip. Since my weatherstripping was new, I had to press firmly but not excessive. It took a couple of trial and errors but the sound of click is what you will hear.
Good luck!

Soooo...... for some reason. the stainless slots dont align with the door sheet metal slots??? You just clip the weather stripping together with the stainless Using {origional style clips} in a fashion the aligns with the door sheet metal slots?? Is that what im understanding???

thanks guys for your input.....

The stainless slots will NOT align with the door sheet metal slots.
The plastic clips will snap into the metal ridge of the door. The metal ridge of the door runs the whole length of the door.
I looked at the photos in your post Monday at 4:49 PM and did NOT use those clips. Mine are original and look similar to Cruiser Heads
Hopefully I am not making this more confusing?

This is correct. You could place the clips anywhere along the stainless trim and weatherstrip, and just push it down to engage the sheet metal of the door. Nothing to be aligned. Logic says to just equally space the clips. I think there were 5 at each front door, and 4 at the rears.
