Hey Guys,

I have a 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser fitted with the Dobinson Steel bumper however the lower two fog lights on each side aren't working, the headlights work and the other Dobinson top mounted lights, however the fog lights don't. Was wondering what I can check to fix this issue, I tried tracing the wiring harness and it seems connected not sure what the issue is, It doesn't make sense that both lights on both sides are out so not sure where to begin checking this problem.

As a disclaimer I don't have the most hands on experience, I know a few basic things about working on cars but at the minimal level. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Did your fogs ever work pr did you just have them installed or replaced?

First check the fuse. It’s in the fuse box in the engine bay. I think it’s 7 amps. Look on the back of the lid to see the fuse position layout diagram to find it.

The next thing to check is the power and ground connection. To do that you need a multi meter and to pull the connectors off the lights and check to see if you have 12v across the pins. If you do it’s a bulb issue, if not check to see if you have 12v at the connector but put the negative on the battery terminal. Do this with both pins to make sure you are testing the + wire in the connector. If you get 12v on one of the pins, then it’s ground issue in which case you need to find where the negative wire was grounded by the installer. You will have to follow the harness.

Here is the fuse location for the fogs. The OEM circuit is only 7.5 amps and the aftermarket fogs could be more than that. Mine is set up with an inline fuse and relay triggered by the OEM circuit. You will have to figure out how your is wired.

Here is a thread with a spreadsheet to help find fuse locations.
