EDIT: Nevermind. I learned that it is the MiniVCI cable (2.0.4) that I am using that has a bug and cannot complete this process.

Thank you @ArnieC

I have a 2011 LX570, I am replacing the wheels (20") with wheels from a 2008 LC200 (18"). I have a Techstream (s/w and cable) and I have read and have the TPMS ID's from the new wheels (and the old). When I go to "register IDs" within Techstream, I get the add wizard, I am able to go through adding the 5 ID numbers (reusing the spare) but when it goes to update the ID's I am getting the error message below. I have also included the DataList for reference.

Can anyone offer any help? I have tried like 10 times with the same result. I have tried restarting the laptop, remove/attache the miniVCI cable, restarted Techstream. Always the same result.
Thanks!

What cable are you using? Many of the cheap Chinese cables won't work for TPMS programming.

You are right, I just found that out. Yes, I'm using a cheap Chinese MiniVCI. Going to pick up one of the newer WiFi/USB devices as above.

If you have a floor jack and an air compressor and your old TPMS still work fine, split one bead off and physically swap the TPMSs. No computer needed.

A $30 Carista device will do it as well. Not sure if there are any better/cheaper app/Bluetooth obd2 programmers. The downside of Carista is it requires a subscription To do any programming.

My old Carista had been sitting in the junk drawer until I just found out that it works with OBD Fusion and all the advanced PIDs 😎

Sweet, I’ll check that out. I paid for a year of Carista, but based on the fact that Carista seemed to work with multiple dongles, I figured the Carista dongle probably worked with multiple apps.

It does, it just seems to be pretty slow for things like full module scans, compared to some others depending on what you are doing.

But yes I keep my Carista in one vehicle for occasional OBD fusion use when the need arises.
