Anyone in PHX area able to help a HDC mudder to look at truck and see if it is worth it? My brother saw one and is intersted in it but not quite sure if it would be worth it to fly from ABQ.

Whereabouts? If'n it's on the east side (south east) i can take a look this weekend...

Yup, Phx is pretty big. Throw us a bone here.

I can see it on saturday if it is still available...Gilbert is right across the street from me.

Thanks,

I will PM you tonight to make sure he is still considering it before wasting any of your time.

Thanks for the offer, but after my brother saw the updated post of problems he does not to tackle, he changed his mind. No need for anyone to waste their time.

Thanks Again

What problems does it have?

Like Phil said, it has been on CL more than once. But he has also changed the ad more than once. He listed the minor problems and was asking 5500. Then he changed it and said it had front end damage (to what extent?) and lowered the price to 4500. Again he changed it and now says it only needs a steering arm. Is he sure of that? Who knows, my brother talked to him to try to find out if it is locked, but had no idea what he was talking about. I can't say whether or not it is a good deal, I have not seen it except for the ad. I just don't know if it would be worth the trip to find that there is more wrong with it. It obviously looks like he is having a hard time selling it. Why?

Re-read the first post. My brother was looking. He already has two 80's, I don't want to waste anyone's time for him to have a third one if he is not sure about it. Being not that mechanically useful, I don't blame him if there are problems with it. Besides, I would be getting called on weekends to help him. I would not mind a bit of a project, but I am not looking myself, unless it is a steal.

Howdy! Well, thanks to our new president, basically all of these rigs 1984 and new are now worth $500, regardless of what the market value has been recently. Even if it should of been a $3000 rig, now it is worth more to crush it. Originally the plan was only to apply to American manufacturers, but somehow, now it applies to everyone. John

Sweet! Thanks John. If you can get that rig for 500$ I will pay you a grand for negotiation (sp?) with the owner and I can be out there this weekend to pick it up. :flipoff2:

Duh, my spellchecker missed the fact that it should read "$4500" Cash for Clunkers. Soyyr! John
