I am getting to the point where I need to install some aftermarket seats. I plan on getting the chepo 5 point rally style ones from my local parts store. I know ive stumbled across alot of picutres of cool custom made mounting systems, whether tube or square. If you have pics or have links to picutres of these I would greatly appretaite it. I am just looking to get some ideas to give to my welder.

Thanks

Eli

I forget, did you get a long range tank that the seats mount to, or do you want the seats mounted to the floor like the stock set-up? I've got the seats mounted to the long range tank, so I'll go get some pics if that's what you're doing.

Nevermind. I just checked out your build-up thread...

Sorry, no pic of it in the vehicle but here is what the PO put in my 40 to mount up some Recaro seats...

Seat frame

seat braket

didn't want to make a big fuss out of installing new seats, didn't want any frames or major changes and metal works, so i adapted the seats to the stock tub but since they where wider than the original seats, I added an extra part with a perforated hole to fit the screw. it is reinforced by the bents on both sides so no scare of bending or breaking. 1000% guaranteed. by the way my seats are 1995 BMW serie 5 seats.

want additional pics please send request to my mail, landcruiser83@gmail.com since i got limited upload space. not paying my subscription yet.

not sure if you have a full cage. but when I had my cage built, they built a tray, then welded legs to it with tabs on the cage- bolting it all together.

cheers-

Here is what I have, You can see the front seat mounts along with the rear.:D It goes over the tool kit box and tank.
Good luck

Wow, that is some cage. Hardly need a body, just install the seats, attach it to the frame and off you go. :grinpimp:

anyone eles have any more pics? I'm about to build some seat brackets as well.
