Help, please... '96 Pathfinder alarm/remote problems (1 Viewer)

A couple of weeks ago my daughter's 1996 Pathfinder decided it would not let us lock the doors with the remote. Unlock and panic buttons still work. I have three remotes programed to it and all do the same. A few days later the alarm started going off randomly.

The frequency of the alarm going off is increasing.

Anybody have any idea what is going on and possible solution? If nothing else, how do I disable the alarm?

It is an early '96 with OBDI, not the late '96 with OBDII if that matters.

Not totally sure, but when I had my r50 pathfinder I was on NPORA Forums and a lot of the folks there were pretty knowledgeable. Maybe check them out?

It turned out to just be a bad door switch.
