with my son, we are converting our 80 series into a UTE (truck) using a tacoma truck bed. The issue is that I have no idea what year truck bed we have, and I need to order a cover and a fuel filler neck.

Typically, I would assume there woudl be a vin number stamped or a sticker. Anyone know of location?

Here is a picture if that helps?

6' bed.

Try that again.

It looks like a bed from a 1995.5 to 2004. I'll assume 1995.5 to 1998 based on lack of fender flares. It's seen on regular and xtra-cab Tacoma's and should be 72" long i believe... The 4 door model Tacoma beds are shorter, give or take, they are about 60" long. This can be seen as the distance from front of wheel well, to bulkhead (cab) is shorter on the 4 door models.

Side note, i think the earlier style Tacoma brake light assembly would look best for this project. Just my $0.02 :)

I ordered a set of DEPO rear tail lights for 95-00, hoping they would fit.

I'd say an early (Pre 1998) regular or ext. cab model based on the tailgate. After 1998 they had a small Toyota lettering on the driver side of the tailgate.

BTW Looks like a cool project!

Thanks! I will order the filler neck today!
