(Sorry some photo's are upside down I fxxxing hate iPhones).

Soooooo some bastard of a previous owner has disconnected one of the most precious forms of insurance on my troop dog and I'm trying to get it working again. Already whacked a new switch in the block ready to go (TPS007).

The first picture might be a good clue as I understand the 2H's low oil switch is a normally closed circuit. That plug with the wires jumped across leads to the fuel control relay, I tested them all and they correspond to each other some with no resistance and some with high resistance.

The single wire to the left of the plug corresponds to all the wires at the fuel control relay, mostly with no resistance and some with high, except the yellow/black oil pressure switch wire which it has no connection to. It does not lead anywhere it's just dangling there. Anyone know what this wire is all about?

The plastic insulation in the second picture contains a wire which corresponds to the oil switch wire at the fuel control relay with no resistance and once caused the engine to die due to grounding the exhaust manifold. I followed it to the alternator where it appears to turn around and run back into the fuel control relay.

Oh. Typing this I just realized that wire in the second picture must be the one I need to connect directly to the oil pressure switch since there will be no continuity through the switch so long as there is oil pressure. Does this sound accurate?

If there's any other information that might be of use to me feel free to throw it out there. Cheers :)

Alternatively just wire in a 12V Buzzer like I did when the EDIC was removed from my 2H..

Video showing operation..

I have it through a toggle switch so I can silence it if I want.

Hey that's pretty cool. I wonder if I could wire up the EDIC shut off as well as an audible buzzer or light bulb?

Well.. the Oil Pressure Switch just provides an earth when there's no oil pressure.. you could indeed drive multiple circuits of it if you wanted.
