You're welcome. :D

thanks  we actually have a lot of local makers to choose from including kona, de vinci, norco and brodie. rocky mountains are pretty thin on the ground around here as they have no local dealer, so i was not expecting that to be the final outcome but it seems like a nice bike.

So you're telling us that you bought a girls bike. Good for you:flipoff2:

i am guessing beaufart is already running with that in schat.

Both of those bikes are really nice. Enjoy the ride! And, wow, your seat is really pointed downhill--you like it like that?

 it had a comfort seat on it, so a last minute switch was made back to the original but the angle adjustment was not made.

Semlin, if you're not already familiar with it....pinkbike.com
is a great resource for buying and selling bikes/parts somewhat locally. Do you ride with clipless pedals? The crank bros. mallets
are a happy medium. Enjoy the new bike(s)!

Nice semlin! I finally went soft-tail too. Got a Titus Racer-X, and I'm in heaven.

got the trek built up for the boy using parts off my old hardtail. pretty  bike for a 13 year old and way nicer than the new bikes in that price range. the frame is pretty tiny and featherlight.

Fun stuff. The kid should like that ride.

Thing is, you'll feel more beat-up after a ride on your softtail than your 13 yo would after the same ride on a single speed fixed-fork. Youth is so wasted on the young.

Fast Eddy is 46 and rides a SS with a rigid fork. :flipoff2:

My best ever 40k TT was at age 41 on a borrowed bike (<56 min). Three years later and I'm at least 5 minutes slower, maybe 10. But I'll never climb and recover like I did in my 20s.

Recovery is the key word. After pounding 2 rides this weekend, taking a nap yesterday afternoon, and sleeping solidly last night, I'm still tired.
