I know a lot has been written on here about different T-cases but I cannot figure this out and I can't find anything about it anywhere. I bought a JDM 1kz-te with a 4x4 transmission but I'm afraid it is actually a permanent AWD. Does anybody know how this shifts from 2WD to 4WD? There is no mechanical shifter, actuator, or electronic plugs on the t-case. Were there any models that have an internal actuator and a plug on the transmission itself? The transmission plate says its an A30-43LE which seems to be the same as a Jeep AW4 and (maybe?) the same as an A343f. If it's an AWD without the ability to shift into 2wd then I think I will try to swap a j-shift t-case from a tacoma onto it.
