I have not been able to identify this hose in any of the parts catalogs or FSM or using the partial number inscribed in the hose.

Please see picture attached with location and partial number 940509. Can someone help identify and possibly suggest a source?

Thanks in advance!

It's in the heater parts section, not the radiator parts section:

but it's NLA:

However, you can either, buy a parts store hose (which won't fit because they're all inch size and not metric) (which I don't understand since we've had metric parts on our cars for practically my entire life) or, delete the PAIR system and change the heater circuit to the later model 80 design:

for which you can get parts at any dealership, or online parts store.

@Malleus
Thank you for the very detailed response. I found one on fleabay but they want crazy money for it. Looks like I will be taking it down to my local Autozone where they let me walk in the hose storage room where I can usually find something very similar and often in Gates brad.

It's not the cheapest way to go, but that PAIR system is really useless. You can live without it.

Frankly I'm appalled at the condition of your accel cable. lol

But really, do the PAIR delete. Especially if your PAIR sounds like a couple rotary blade push mowers.
Then do the loop-back on the EGR and the couple of steel pipes running along the valve cover. (there's a thread on it here somewhere)
Also need to plug the pipe on the front of the engine, connecting to the PAIR.
Also need the 2 homage parts from Wits' End, or make your own, or move your O2 sensors to where the PAIR connects to the exhaust manifold.
Once the PAIR is gone, you'll lose the accel cable holder attached to its top. Perhaps that can be mounted elsewhere and bent appropriately to hold the cable, but I couldn't find a decent place. So, once the PAIR is gone, switching to the newer model pipe/hose will (should?) give you that holder back.

@LandLocked93
Thanks for the PAIR breakdown. I am also appalled by the accel and now I have more of a complex! I was considering putting some kind of electrical wiring sheath on it.
Interesting how there is quite a bit of surface rust and the engine compartment does not look pristine being a CA only vehicle. It all comes mainly from the hi saline content water that we encounter when out in the wet desert areas. I have to remember to do a complete washdown with fresh water after being in those areas.

Not sure if the PAIR delete will create any problem here in California where our emissions test always checks the function of the EGR. I just did a complete hose replacement of air, water and vacuum hoses along with new EGR, modulator, two vacuum switches and a valve adjustment. Once I put in the missing hose and put in fresh Toyota coolant I'm off to the races. Of course as long as that accel cable doesn't break.

Ahhh CA. Ignore what I said. 👍

For reference anything that is on the emissions sticker on the hood will be required for Ca smog 😉
They last time I checked that hose was NLA
The work around is this Gates hose.

I wonder how much the PAIR really helps. I’ve heard of people passing emissions without it. I deleted mine as well and moved the O2 sensors.

It doesn't help or hurt. and you can easily pass smog with out it unless you get a picky inspector who fails you on a visual inspection.
Not worth the chance for me ! ;)

Fair enough. I don't have emissions but left everything as stock looking as I could.

Well done and looks clean. as mentioned in post 8 the pair is posted on the emissions sticker on the under side of the hood and what a picky inspector will go by.
And why I did not remove mine.
Time to replace the throttle cable 😁

Nice. But no PAIR Set up. you passed here in Colorado? Emissions required in your county?
Not required. I’ve never lived in a county that required emissions. Perks of never being in Denver.

Right?
And where's the cable bracket (holder)??

Mine? Nah it's good. I have a new cable but no need to replace it yet. The bracket that goes to the PAIR I just slid up to the top by the thottlebody, new cables dont come with them and I have been keeping an eye out for a 95+ cable bracket. Below is a pic of old vs new, I tested these out when I did my rebuild.

I like replace things on my terms on a shop environment, not on the trail.
I would rather run the new and keep the old one for a spare.
Last thing I want is for the throttle to start sticking on the trail or worse on an obstacle.
That cable has given over 20 years of faithful service time to move it to reserve status and give it a break😂🤣

Good for you….anyways…..
