Is this just a coincidence ? How should I trouble shoot, fuse is good? AC has been charged and serviced within las 12 months and has been blowing super cold until now? Thanks

Is the clutch cycling on and off? Belt still there? If yes on both counts, they could have nicked a hose when replacing and you lost your refrigerant, but more likely is just that belt got removed and forgot to replace.

New rad might involve lower rad hoses. Check the clutch wire at the a/c compressor? Maybe it got knocked loose?

This is EXACTLY what happened to mine. You know the ECU idles the engine up when the compressor kicks on, FYI.

Just turn the AC on and check for voltage at the plug that goes into the top of the compressor. It was a pretty easy rewire job on mine, but the wire had come loose INSIDE the connector so it wasnt obvious from the outside.

Not cycling, belt still there. He is going to look into it further this week. It seems strange to me.I'll report back. Thanks

You might check the connection to the hi/low pressure switch located on the driver's side of the radiator. It is right behind the driver's head lights. If you lost freon from bumping an AC hose, your switch would take out the power to the compressor. Ours on the 92 just went bad several years back and since I had a lifetime warranty on the compressor, I just bypassed the switch all together.

^ Will do,thanks!

Update : Turns out the mechanic who converted the system used a schrader valve instead of a quick connect? My mechanic says it was loose and he put a quick connect on instead. Half filled the system so we can test it over the next week or two. If it holds he'll fill it. If it doesn't he'll dye test it and go from there, but he thinks it was the loose valve? Working fine now, time will tell?

Exact thing just happened to me...my Schrader valve was loose, refrigerant leaked out and compressor wouldn't engage. Coincidentally, it was after I did the fan clutch mod and I'm sure I bumped the valve when I was trying to loosen the bolts on the fan clutch.

And your mechanic just forgot to inform you of all that?
