Help a guy out with tire sizes?

Hi,

My wife wants to buy a 1999 Lexus LX 470. It needs new tires. It currently has 275 70 R 16.

I have a 2000 land cruiser. It currently has 265 75 R 16 tires.

Could I take the tires (not rims) and place them on the Lexus rims? I remember that there were a couple of tire sizes that fit these vehicles, but want to be sure.

For the curious, my current Land Cruiser tires are more for the street and I think they would look great on the Lexus. I would then get more off-road tires for my Land Cruiser.

Not a problem. The 265/75 is a taller tire actually.

275 70 R 16 = 31.2X10.8R16
265 75 R 16 = 31.6x10.4R16

That size looks very nice on the Lexus. Love the white letters out. If I could find someone to buy my almost new LTX tires I would order a BFG set today.

Craigslist and they will get snapped up quick. List them for 100 over half of what you paid.
