Hey everyone! I decided last week I was going to venture off and swap my 285/75/16's (that I put only about 1,000 miles on) and step up to the big leagues and put on 315/75/16's. I've read the horror stories about rubbing, need for more lift, lack in power, the need to regear, blah blah blah. I did it anyway. I'm guilty of having the "shoot and take names later" attitude when doing my mods.
BTW, Shotts write up helped a ton! Even though I read it after I did it, all most everything he wrote on was dead on. Here's his write up:

Here's what is on my LC thus far, so I want to ask for some feedback from everyone here on what they think I can do to make my rig better. Over the years of owning FJC's, Tacomas and even a Tundra, I've made it a point to collaborate all the knowledge of my peers from these forums to help me decide best what's best for my rigs. With my ideas ,and from pointers I've read and learned from, I think I have made some pretty cool rigs thanks to everyone who chimes in! Thanks in advance!
- Slee heavy setup on all four with piggybacks
- Total Chaos UCA's
- Metal Tech lower links
- Metal Tech upper links
- Sway Away torsion bars
- 16" OEM wheels (PS - yes, that's PlastiDip on the wheels and yes I'm addicted)
- 315/75/16 KM2's x 5
PROBLEM: At full turn, I'm smashing my Slee resivoirs and rubbing fender on other side. Yes, I knew this was going to happen, but does anyone think I can mount them on top of the frame? I've seen other 100's with resivoirs and do they have that problem? What about wheel spacers to reduce/eliminate rub? BTW, Discount Tires told me that they wouldn't work on my truck if I had spacers. Does anyone think they would void my warranty if I had spacers on? What about a body lift? Should I just do it on the front or on all four? If I do it on the rear, do I run the risk of ruining my rear fenders when completely tucked?
Disclaimer: I'm new to owning an LC, so I truly appreciate all the advice. My rig is made possible by the good folks who let me mow their lawns lol and everyone on here!
