Hi guys! Maybe someone know (or, please, could measure) the distance between rear leaf springs' center bolts (those keeping leafs together) i.e. springs stance width of '94 HJ75? Or at least (it's aesier to measure with no getting under rig) the distance between outer side edges of rear spring packs (i know springs leaf width, so i'll calculate the stance). I wonder if it's the same as 60-series Cruisers have - that means interchangeability.
Thank you very much!

Andrey

Did the post 1990 7* series rear springs change the spring pin location from pre 1990 7* series?

Pin location on the pre 1990 BJ70/71/73/74 rear leaf packs are the same as the BJ/HJ/FJ6* series packs...in fact depending on ride desired, the leaf packs can be interchanged iirc. The fronts are different. Also, the 7* series has a larger teardrop on the solid mount pin, however the pin diameter is the same.

My 95 HZJ75 is 995mm from centre to centre of springs.

60 series has a different width and a shorter spring length

i thought he was asking about swapping a 60 series diff into a 75 series truck...
i might have read it wrong...

I thought he was talking about the stud that goes through the leaf pack to hold them all together and wanted the width between the 2 springs from the centre.

75 series have longer rear springs than the SWB and MWB

Thanks for replies, guys! The problem is my friend's HJ75 has pretty worn-out inner rear axle shafts and btw axle is semi-floater (!), for example, new longer rear axle shaft for HJ75 costs about $300 here and whole used rear HJ60 rear axle assembly is $500. And full-floater axle from HJ60 swap is on our minds right now. Thats why i'm asking you. Friend is on vacation, so i have no access to his 75 to measure what i need. Special thanks to roscoFJ73!
