Ever had it on a dyno mate ? Last ls1 80 I seen on the rollers only made 200 hp at the rears. Can't quiet remember but I think it had exhaust and mafless tune.
Me, no. No dieas what the loss is throught the drivetrain and 3/15/75's. Our 5.7LS1's were rated at 220kw when released the 6.0 L98 was 270kW. Mines stock bar a set of headers and 3" zorst.

You would think we owned land rovers by the way this thread is going! I've been battling oil leaks too since fitting my turbo, can't get the sump to seal and the rear main leak has gone from a very slow weep to a torrent in the last year. Just moved to Brissy before Christmas, have yet to find a mechanic to swap my gearbox out and fix the leaks or a place where I can do it myself.

The tailgate strip is bling! Wouldn't suit my beat up old bus though. How's the suspension going? Mine needs a serious revamp, contemplating selling the shocks and springs and going back to a basic 2" lift.

Ha ha I don't trust anyone anymore and the price they charge for there half assed slapped together work it's why I'm doing more and more work on this car myself. I'd love a hoist in my life lol unfortunately dropping a gearbox and stuff in a driveway isn't for me lol. Changing diffs on a gravel driveway was enough for me lol I think it scared me for life doing heavy lifting jobs without the correct tools and area to work in.

As for my suspension it's goes alright but I'm in desperate need for new shocks the old home brand shocks don't work the best on gravel roads. It's on the list of many jobs to do one day. Plus I'd like something slightly longer to get the ulimate out of all my superior arms. Why are you dropping down your lift ???

Tell me more about your mate's arms!

What do you need to know mate ?? Adam from wild 4x4 & customs on Facebook makes them. Contact him on there. Couple of mates are running them and both very happy with them. Going to go the xlink he makes as well ?? Tell him Clint FLX80T sent you.

Throw it on the rollers mate. I'd love to know.

Clint, you're gonna hate me.... even more.... My truck at home......

Yep I do hate you. So when am I booking my car In for a new rear main seal and my part time transfer case to be fitted ???

After I get my rear main, clutch and gearbox replaced!

I'm thinking of dropping my lift for a few reasons. Mainly because I don't need to be that high, I'm using it as a family camping rig more than anything. Also my wife fractured her back last year so it will make it easier for her if it's a little lower. It will also mean not having to get radius arms.

First run with the police. Not bad for bit over a year driving the 80 $106 for running 35s ha ha. Always plan to engineered it one day. Might have to do it sooner with driving threw this hot spot daily to get to work. Want to do some sort of seat upgrade at the same time too and Will need to sort out the wheels sticking out to far and some sort of rear mudflap setup.

Can you give a quick review on your Tough Dog set up? I saw a few trucks running their suspension while I was in Australia but online I read people aren't to impressed about the quality. Maybe you can shed some light as I'm looking to get a new lift.

For those of us in the U.S., explain this to us. Did you get a citation for running 35" tires?

You have to have an engineers certificate to run rims and tyre that are two inches or more bigger than stock. You can get away with out but if you get a grumpy cop one day he will fine you for everything on your rig that's been changed

I was running the tough dog Ralph shocks in my white cruiser and absolutely loved them. You'll find with shocks tyres etc Everyone has a different opinion on what's good or what's s***. For the price I think there a nice shock. I'm only running big ass home brand ones in FLx80T and when I was swapping them out from the old ironman ones they felt great, but now after a year you realise how terrible these ones really are. I definately need to upgrade my shocks Problem is for what I want your looking at $1700 - 3200 price tag.

Yeah illegal without paperwork. I've run them for over a year and been pulled over half a dozen times before so been pretty lucky. Didn't get me for any other mods Lucky enough. The 4" lift is illegal too without the correct paperwork. Something I need to look into getting it all approved and road legal.

He was grumpy to get me for not using my indicating pulling into breathe test lol. What a joke. I will be writing a letter for that to try to get out of it. Swear I did put my indicator on. At least I drove off in my 4" lifted 80 without a defect sticker so wasn't to bad after all.

Your country would hate me!!

We are a proper nanny state here, luckily my run ins with the popo have been fine so far. Where I am they don't seem to mind as long as you still have sway bars in and your flares cover your tires.

FLX80T, you want my Amada Xtreme 4" remote res shocks? I'll be ditching them when I drop my lift out. They have been great but are too long to keep in with a 2" lift.

Thanks mate. But I'm looking for something with around 800 mm open length.

I think my tyres stick out about a inch or so. I'm probably gonna try slap the later model wider flares on mine. Don't like the kutsnake ones ever man and his dog has these days.

Damn that's a bloody big shock absorber!
I used black garden edging for my flares. I put rivnuts in my guards and bolted it up using 4mm staino button head screws then cut it back to the width I wanted. It was cheap and they are flexible enough not to get damaged or torn off. My mate had put kutsnake ones on but they make it look like a big gay jeep so I took them off.

Yea I've got a full set of the proper bushrange Rubber flare to suit in the shed but there like 75mm or something massive. I only want 25mm of extra flair. I think they look ridiculous with the big flare hanging out.

Yeah I don't like those ones either, they look dicky on DX models. I left heaps of overhang with the garden edging and then cut it back to about 30mm with my trusty renovator, following the contour lines of the body.

Are you gonna extend the shock mounts to get shocks that big under your 80?

Thanks for the short review brotha! At the least I'll get a set of their Ralph shocks!

Yeah want to play with mounts. Gonna try hold off and maybe do it all with a different front setup.

Xlink with lockout. Mate makes them so I can get a good deal on it
